How to setup Filters in Risksheet

Modified on Tue, 18 Feb at 3:30 PM

Filterable columns allow users to narrow the displayed data based on specific criteria. This is crucial for making large datasets more manageable and improving efficiency and transparency.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Adding filters to columns

In the Risksheet configuration, specify the columns that should (not) be filterable by adding "filterable": true/false.

  ...
  {
 "headerGroup": "Hazard & Harms",
 "headerGroupCss": "headPotentialRisks",
 "headerCss": "headPotentialRisks",
 "header": "Harm Severity",
 "id": "harmSeverity",
 "width": 150,
 "filterable": true,
  ...
  },
  ...

Filterable columns will be indicated by the transparent funnel icon when you hover over the header of the column.

Columns with applied filters will have the funnel icon filled out.

Applying filters to columns

In the Risksheet click on the funnel icon in the header of the column you want to filter. A  pop-up box will open where you can customize your filter needs.

  1. Click on the tick-box next to "Select All" to de-select all the values
  2. Tick the values you want to filter in the pop-up box and confirm by clicking on "Apply"
You may click on the arrow next to the funnel icon(or the header itself) to quickly switch between "Ascending" or "Descending" order
By default "Filter by Value" will be active but
you may also choose to "Filter by Condition".

Clear filters

To clear ALL filters: go to Menu > Sort & Filters > Clear Filters

To clear a single column filter: click on "Clear" in the pop-up box for that column.

Saved filters

Starting with version 24.8.1, filters can now be stored in personal settings, allowing for a more personalized and consistent user experience.

This means opening the same Risksheet again will retain the last used filters users set on their browsers.

Note that using different browser, even on different machines, will retain their own last used filters independently.

Active filters indicator

Starting with version 25.2.0, applied filters are indicated by the funnel icon in the footer.

This is especially useful when managing Risksheets with many rows and columns.

  • This new feature allows users to see that there are hidden rows due to applied filters
  • The Rows counter in the footer shows how many rows are displayed out of total rows, including unsaved just created items

  • The search bar is also considered an additional filter
  • The search bar does update the number of displayed rows

Always make sure that Risksheet is updated to the latest version to maximize its benefits.
