How to disable linking in the gantt chart?

The dependency links are  derived from the work item links. This is controlled by Dependency Role widget parameter:

If you do not want to let the user create dependency links, put following property to Advanced > Gantt Config Script parameter:

gantt.config.drag_links = false;
