While loading the Gantt Chart page can happen that you see some errors that seem not to affect your working process. There are a few possible reasons for such behavior, which we will describe in this article and tell you how to get rid of these errors.
- First of all, you can check if your Gantt Chart contains any of these errors.
To do so, go to the Widget Parameters -> Advanced and turn off Maximized view.
As you can see in the screenshot above the Gantt Chart has 3 errors.
Why does it have them? They appeared while performing arithmetical operations containing impossible operations (like division by 0) or many other situations.
- One very important moment is that even if you fix the issue itself, this error text will still remain under the Gantt Chart, which has no sense.
- So the question is - why does it still here if we fixed everything?
The answer hides in the configuration of the Polarion system. We are not sure how exactly it is working, but somehow Polarion saves these errors as text in the Livedoc, which is the base for the current Gantt Chart Widget.
- The solution is simple - just select the text and delete it.
Don't forget to save changes after.
After all these manipulations there will be no background errors, only if you don't create a new one :)
