Starting with version 23.4.0, you can configure a Cross-team Gantt Chart to visualize workload distribution across teams without focusing on individual assignments. This article explains how to set up a basic configuration that enables team-level planning, capacity analysis, and resource balancing, helping you identify overallocation risks early and adjust plans accordingly.
What purpose does this serve?
With this Gantt Chart, you'd be able to see all the Teams and WIs assigned to them, without mentioning specific team member assignments.
It means, that in the Resource view, you'll see the Workpackages assigned to the specific Team, but not the team member yet. It'll help you to see easily the capacity of the teams for a given period of time and change it later if you see the team's capacity is overallocated.

Polarion solution
create a custom field "Team"
In order to assign a Work Package to a specific Team, you should create a specific custom field for these WIs first.
This way you can specify what Team would be working on this Wor Package and add the specific user assignee from this Team later.
To do so, you have to set the specific field to type Enum -> Nextedy Team;
"Nextedy Team" is a specific type of enumeration, that lets you choose already created WIs of type "Team" as an Enum option.

After that, you'll see all WIs of type Team available to select in the newly created custom field.

Now you can configure the Gantt according to your project, just pay attention to some details:
- as a Resource field for the Resource view select the newly created "team" custom field;
- then select "Yes" in Load Team Assignments;

After that with only these little steps, you will be able to create a nice working cross-team Gantt Chart.
Of course, you may have plenty of different additional configurations to add.
